I’m always trying to think of new excuses for why I do not update the prayforpasadena blog regularly. For this update, I will use my wedding as an excuse. Who has time to blog when they are preparing for a wedding. Even though the wedding was over a month ago, it still takes time to settle in after the wedding. Right?(A quick thanks to everyone for joining us that special day. It truly was an honor to have you all celebrate with us!_
Excuses or no excuses, I still need to share with you all what the Lord is doing in Pasadena. Our community has grown relationally deep over the past few months. We spend time with each other regularly, taking care of the needs that we encounter. We’ve begun to be shaped by the Christian-Year Calendar, as well as our weekly rhythm of gathering for Word and Table and being sent on mission. For Ordinary Time, we will hightlight the importance of mission as we all name the people we will take care of until Advent. When we gather together on Pentecost Sunday, we will take time to pray for each other and comission one another for our mission to care for others during Ordinary Time. Please join us in prayer, wherever you are, on Pentecost Sunday for an empowering of the Holy Spirit to send us forth to share the Good News that Jesus Christ has conquered the power of sin and death. We worship the Risen Lord!
A couple of praises: 1. We have seen a lot of healing take place in the lives of our people over the past month. 2. One of our members, Bryan Miller, created and developed a new website for us. I really like the simple design of the site because it points people to be with our community. Check it out!
Feel free to connect with Bryan if you’d like some graphic work done. His website is: www.millhouseportfolio.com
